"Hi, this is Jan M. from Germany, a.k.a. Ex-Mosher J., happy new year everybody and thanks to the at least 360 backers / supporters (on january 8th) at "kickstarter" making the new Tourniquet album a "dream come true-event" for all the fans around the world. We've been waiting too long for this one, right?
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to join all of you crazy people, but I thought to myself ... hmmh, I support Tourniquet with my homepage for 10 years now - well, that has cost me about 350 Euros and countless hours of writing throughout the years (it depends on my abilities writing with "4 or 6 finger-system" aswell, you know what I mean?) without using any kind of silly advertisements on the page.
So, let us count the days 'til February (recording) and then hopefully not later than until May 2011 for a possible release date! My ears are hungry! Can I say this in English???
Also, thanks to the fans who have contributed and given better-made informations about Tourniquet on the different internet platforms; but the german version of Tourniquet on Wikipedia net still differs from the English version: I especially found no evidence for the fact that Tourniquet doesn't get stagetime on the Milwaukee festival back in the mid-nineties, I suppose, when Deicide refused to play the festival with Tourniquet on the same stage. I hate rumors like that. You can also speculate about the fact, why Tourniquet was at first invited at the Wacken Open Air Festival (in Germany) back in 2001 (I still have the original flyer with the information on it) and then they were "not able" to play at the festival. I talked to / with Aaron on this issue when I had the chance to see him at Flevo in 2001. I still imagine what would have happened if Gary Lenaire rejoined the band on guitar for such an event. I'm sure that they would have blow / blew / blown the stage at Wacken with their performance!!! Well, one can still dream and hope!
